Unanswered load requests for your airline from other StaffTraveler members are shown on the 'Requests' tab.
To start entering the loads for a request, select a request from the Loads tab by tapping it. If the flight has not yet been opened by another member, the Enter loads screen will appear. The flight is now locked for you to answer for 5 minutes, so take your time to enter the correct loads.
Five input fields will appear: FIRST, BUS, ECO+, ECO, and the input field for the number of NON-REV passengers.
FIRST | First class |
BUS | Business class |
ECO | Economy class |
ECO+ | Economy plus / Economy comfort |
NON-REV | Listed standby passengers |
Please note that all classes will always be shown, also if it is not available on the flight. If a class is not available, leave the input field open or enable the 'This flight has no ... class' switch.
Some airlines give a capped number in case there are more than x seats available. For example: if more than 9 seats are open, 9 will be shown. If this is the case for your airline, select 9 open seats and enable the 'There are more seats available but I don't know how many' switch.
Select the number of open seats for every available class. Then, select the NON-REV input field. A second row of input fields will appear.
In this example, there are 4 open seats in First class, 7 in Business and 2 in Economy Plus. Economy class is overbooked by 12 and there are 5 non-rev passengers listed on the flight.
First, select the total number of non-rev passengers. Then, if available, select the number of non-rev passengers per available class. Please note that the total of non-rev passengers must match the sum of the non-rev passengers per class.
If your airline doesn't show the number of non-rev passengers, enable the 'I don't know how many non-rev passengers are listed' switch. It would be wise to elaborate on this in the comments of the flight because some users might report the loads as inaccurate if this information is missing.
What do the codes in my booking system mean?
While there's no golden universal standard, these are some of the codes that you might find in your booking system:
Discount Economy: K, L, Q, V, W, U, T, X, N, O, S
Full Fare Economy: Y, B, M, H
Premium Economy: W, E
Discounted Business: D, I, Z
Full Fare Business: J, C, D
First: A, F
At StaffTraveler, we try to keep things simple, universal, and understandable for everybody. That's why we don't use these confusing codes but easy-to-read classes. Please sum up all available Economy (ECO), Premium Economy (ECO+), Business Class (BUS), and First Class (FIRST) seats and enter the totals in the corresponding boxes in the StaffTraveler app.
Responding anonymously
Your privacy is important to us. By default, only your first name is shown next to the loads you submit. If you wish, you can respond to load requests anonymously by enabling this option in your Privacy settings. We've explained how to enable this option here.
Loads are deleted automatically
All loads are deleted after a flight has departed. We do not store historic load information and we do not keep track of the flights you have responded on.
Receive notifications for new requests
If you wish to receive a notification when a new request for your airline is posted, you can enable this in your Email and notifications settings on the More tab in the app. Switch on New requests for one of my airlines to receive a notification the moment a new request is posted for your main airline or one of your additional airlines.
Nice to know
- You will receive a credit for each request you submit the loads for.
- You can also update the loads on flights that you have answered before. You'll find these flights on the Loads tab, below Your answered requests. Please note that no update has been requested for these flights and you will therefore not receive a credit for updating these loads. It will, however, be highly appreciated if you update the loads voluntarily and eternal thanks will be beamed your way by the user who is receiving the updated loads!
