You know the good coffee near the crew hotel, the beach worth the taxi ride, and the restaurant that is still open after a late arrival. Tips are where you pass that on.
Where tips live
Open the 'Tips' tab. Tips are grouped by city, so you can look up wherever you are headed and see what other members recommend.
Adding your own
Pick the city, add your tip, and say what makes the place worth going to. A sentence about why you like it is far more useful than a name and an address.
Adding a tip earns you credits, and it also earns 4 Points toward a free Priority Credit. If your tip proves popular with other members, there is a bonus on top.
What makes a good tip
Be specific. Which dish, which beach, which platform for the train into town
Say roughly how far it is from the crew hotel or the airport
Mention timing, such as whether it is open late or closed on Mondays
Keep it current. If a place has closed, say so in the comments so others do not waste a trip
Comments
Members can comment on your tips, and you can turn on notifications for those under 'Menu' > 'Profile & settings' > 'Notifications', using 'Comments on my tips'.
Your name on a tip
Your first name, or your display name if you have set one, appears on the tips you post. You can change that under 'Menu' > 'Profile & settings' > 'Privacy'.
